Did you know

Pharmaceutical commercials account for approximately 4.2% of all individual ads aired on US television but consume about 8.3% to 14% of total airtime spending

2025, pharma ads represented 14% of all TV ad spending, with prescription drug ads making up a significant portion of national linear TV advertising

High Volume in Ad Spend: Pharmaceutical firms are among the top spenders in TV advertising, accounting for around 10-14% of total television advertising spend.

High Frequency of Airing: Data from 2025 indicates that pharmaceutical ads make up roughly 4.2% of all commercial spots.

Longer Commercials: Because pharmaceutical commercials often run longer to accommodate safety information, they represent a higher percentage of total commercial time (roughly 8.3%) than the actual count of ads.

Key Trends: Weight loss drugs like Wegovy and autoimmune treatments (e.g., Rinvoq, Tremfya) lead the spending, often featuring on cable news and major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC).

Target Audience: Pharma ads are heavily targeted at viewers of traditional linear television, often reaching older Americans, accounting for roughly 6% of all TV viewing time

The frequency of these ads varies drastically depending on what you are watching. Older audiences are the primary target, so medical ads are most concentrated in specific genres

Police Procedurals: Reruns of shows like The Closer have been found to have up to 38% pharma ads, while NCIS and Blue Bloods often average around 14%.

News Programs: Major news shows like ABC World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News hold the largest shares of prescription drug ad impressions.

Sports: Conversely, pharma ads rarely appear during high-energy events; they make up only about 2% of ads during NFL games or the Olympics

Big Pharma ads provide billions of dollars in income to the television broadcasting industry! Television mainstream media so called News Programs hold the largest shares of prescription drug ad impressions.

Big Pharma backs the propaganda, misinformation, disinformation mainstream media broadcast24/7 to hoodwink and brainwash the American public.

Broadcast networks would not survive without BigPharma paying for commericals that blanket the airways 24/7, billions of dollars are spent each year by Big Pharma on commericals/ads which in a very direct way sponsor the lies and misrepresentation of (as they call it)

national news.

If Americans were to boycott all television shows that broadcast Big Pharma ads and boycott those products we collectively could bring down ABC CBS NBC CNN all other leftist news media, but to get Americans to boycott TV and those Big Pharma companies will never happen!
