WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC AND A DEMOCRACY?

Distinction: The key difference is that a constitutional republic emphasizes the rule of law and limitations on government power (through a constitution), which helps protect the rights of individuals and minority groups.

In a democracy, the absence of constitutional limits could allow the majority to infringe upon the rights of the minority. Without these rights, individual freedoms are at risk, leading to MOB RULE.

WITHIN A DEMOCRATIC FRAMEWORK, this reflects the goals of DEMOCRATS, who strive to enforce their will on those they consider the minority, including anyone who opposes their agenda. They frequently follow the principle "OUR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY."

The terms differ, yet both Democrats and academia claim that the United States includes aspects of both. It is viewed as a representative democracy because citizens vote for representatives, and as a constitutional republic because the government is limited by a constitution that ensures rights protection. It's a representative democracy because citizens choose representatives; however, if you examine the Constitution, it provides all the guidelines and laws for citizens to elect representatives, so I believe that argument is not valid!
