This image captures the true essence of war. It is one among thousands that depict the aftermath of conflict, illustrating the fate of our young men who fought in Vietnam. The majority were drafted by our government, while others, including myself, were already enlisted in the military.
I recall the day I departed for Vietnam. I left behind my wife, who was eight months pregnant. My first child was born a month after I reached I Corps. I wasn't the only one; many others arrived in the country under similar circumstances.

War is neither enjoyable nor admirable. It is brutal, lethal, unpleasant, and dirty. Many of us who served in Vietnam are now dealing with the consequences of that conflict.
AGENT ORANGE.

We Vietnam veterans are now a army battling another war for survival after exposure to AGENT ORANGE.
Like all wars, many of us returned home with PTSD, other physical issues, lost limbs, and wounds that will never heal.
I hold deep respect for my fellow Vietnam brothers for all they have endured, just as I do for my comrades from WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Desert Storm, and the War on Terror. We all returned home changed from when we departed.
What we were exposed to, we will take to our graves.

GOD BLESS ALL OUR MILITARY WAR VETRANS and GOD BLESS THEIR FAMILIES
