So, Congress has legislation ready to go to stop the sale of top-of-the-line chips to Communist China because of the security/military systems, etc. Yet from the top down in the Trump administration, they are okay with allowing thousands of Communist Chinese students to enroll in our American colleges.

Patriots, did you know? As of the 2025–2026 academic period, Chinese students are primarily enrolled in the following degree programs: Mathematics and Computer Science. This is the most popular field for students from mainland China.

Specific high-interest areas include Artificial Intelligence (AI), data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity. Engineering remains a top choice due to global demand and high earning potential.

Popular sub-disciplines include electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. Key Enrollment Trends for 2026 Graduate Level Focus: Approximately 44% of Chinese students in the U.S. are enrolled in graduate programs, where they are especially prevalent in advanced STEM research.

Strategic Partnerships: Some Chinese students are enrolled through dual-degree programs between U.S. universities and Chinese institutions, including some with ties to China’s defense research and military conglomerates. Employment Incentives: Many students prioritize STEM degrees that qualify for the STEM OPT extension, allowing them to work in the U.S. for up to three years after graduation.

BOTTOM LINE: Stop the sale of top-of-the-line chips to Communist China, but it's okay with training Communist Chinese students in how to build said chips via their college degree selection, all based on STEM. What fools we are!
